Glennon Financial Planning Host Brexit Seminar with Jim Power
Glennon Financial Planning were delighted to welcome business leaders and senior executives from multiple sectors across Ireland to their Brexit seminar held in the Stephen’s Green Hibernian Club on June 16th.
Jim Power, journalist and economist, spoke at length on the implications of a ‘Brexit’ for the Republic, the UK and the European Union as a whole including; Domestic, UK, European and Global market uncertainty in the short, medium and long term, currency implications, UK corporate tax levels, UK land and property values, agriculture and a land border with Northern Ireland. Jim also outlined the possible advantages and disadvantages of a ‘Brexit’ for Irish businesses, foreign direct investment & employment levels, imports, exports and the economy as a whole.
The event was hosted by Glennon CEO, John Bissett, who provided an overview to the attendees of the Glennon group including; the general insurance areas, corporate risk, business insurances, employee benefits and financial planning. The morning also included a talk from Senior Financial Planner, Ross Devlin, who showcased the new and cutting edge financial planning tools now available to clients of Glennon on a one to one consultation basis.
